Job summary

Hanwha Q CELLS Equipment Technician in Dalton, GA is responsible for preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to support production timelines and safety standards. Schedule: Swing Shift (12 hours); Night: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM. Reports to Equipment Manager.

The role includes inspecting machines, replacing worn parts, applying lubricants, and documenting work. Candidates need 3+ years hands-on experience, strong mechanical troubleshooting, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years hands-on experience with machinery and machine parts.
  • Strong mechanical maintenance knowledge.
  • Ability to troubleshoot malfunctions.
  • Discipline and time-management to meet production deadlines.
  • Experience using basic tools and safe handling.
  • Ability to lift 50 lb repetitively.
  • Awareness of safety procedures.
  • Familiarity with pumps (reciprocating, centrifugal, vane).
  • Able to work in non-climate controlled areas.
  • Team player; able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure cleanliness of machine and components using hoses, air guns, IPA, cloths, vacuum, and other tools.
  • Disassemble machines and replace or repair parts using chain falls, hand tools, and jacks.
  • Identify defective parts and advise supervisors on repair requirements.
  • Replace or realign machine parts per production specifications.
  • Apply adhesives, lubricants or other materials per procedures.
  • Reassemble machines after maintenance.
  • Remove hardened material using tools such as jacks and hammers.
  • Adhere to Hanwha Q CELLS policies.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Summary

The Equipment Technician is responsible for the preventive maintenance on equipment used in manufacturing process to ensure the successful execution of production activities all in accordance with the high industry standards and within manufacturing timescales.

Night: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM



Responsibilities


  • Ensure cleanliness of machine and machine components by making use of hose, air guns, IPA, cloths, vacuum and other appliances

  • Disassemble machines and take off parts for replacement or repair by using chain falls, hand tools and jacks

  • Examine or carry out tasks on broken machine parts and identify defective parts or give recommendations to supervisors on repair requirements

  • Replace, fix or realign machine parts and accessories in line with production specifications

  • Application of adhesives, lubricants or other materials to machines or their parts as well as other equipment in accordance with stated procedures

  • Put machine parts together after accomplishing maintenance and repair work

  • Take off hardened material from machines or machine parts by utilizing power and hand tools jack and sledge hammer, abrasive and other appliances

  • Adhere to the policies and procedures of Hanwha Q CELLS

  • Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned by management



Required Qualifications


  • +3 years of cognitive and vocational experience in handling machine and machine parts

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance process

  • Critical thinking ability to troubleshoot and detect malfunctioning

  • Discipline to execute tasks without procrastination

  • Excellent time management skills and execute all orders and/or demands in a timely manner

  • Ability to handle basic tools

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively and without assistance

  • Strong knowledge of safety precautions

  • Ability to illustrate general maintenance requisite and simple procedures for operation on various pumps including reciprocating, centrifugal, vane, and etc.

  • Able to tolerate a fast-paced work environment in areas that are not climate controlled

  • Assertive, able to cope with pressure, a team player
