The Marvin Group is a leading defense contractor with operations in Southern California. This position is 100% onsite, supporting assembly and manufacturing for military aerospace systems. Responsibilities include material handling, quality checks, and use of hand tools in a fast-paced production environment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, ERP systems familiarity, and proficient English communication. Forklift experience and ability to lift up to 35 lbs are desirable.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Understanding of ERP Systems is required.
  • Basic reading skills; ability to follow directions.
  • Proficient in Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Must be able to speak/read/write English.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with proper material, parts and product handling at all times.
  • Adherence to procedural requirements for packaging and unpackaging of materials, parts and product.
  • Follow all Safety regulatory and company policies and procedures.
  • Assist Operations work centers with Assembly and/or Manufacturing processes.
  • Use basic hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, hammer, ratchets & sockets, ruler, calipers).
  • Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
  • Identify defects and take appropriate measures; communicate and follow established non-conformance procedures.
  • Perform all work in accordance with highest quality standards and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • May operate Forklift, pallet jacks, cranes and jib hoist.
  • Able to bend, twist, walk and stand for entire shift.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Marvin Engineering designs and produces military Alternate Mission Equipment. Marvin Test Solutions designs and manufactures armament Test Equipment. RESPONSIBILITIES:

SKILLS / REQUISITES:

  • Maintain awareness and understanding of documents published in the BMS Library
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Understanding of ERP Systems
  • Basic reading skills. Must be able to follow directions
  • Office Suite - Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Ability to perform work accurately, timely and thoroughly
  • Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem, with thinking in such a way as to produce a
  • new idea and concepts
  • Detailed-oriented and self-motivation skills
  • 1-2 years forklift experience (a plus)
  • Must be able to speak/read/write English
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs

SALARY: $ 16.82 - $ 23.07

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Manufacturing and/or Machining environment
  • Fast paced, people and parts movement
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to medium
  • Exposed to a combination of potential odors from chemicals and/or processes
  • Physically demanding
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment required
