Job summary

Green Bay Packaging Inc. seeks a Utility Technician at its Pulaski, TN facility. The role supports production by setting up, operating, monitoring, and cleaning stackers, conveyors, and related equipment to maintain product quality and help achieve production goals.

Regular attendance is essential. The position reports to Production Operations. A High School Diploma or GED is preferred, with corrugated packaging experience a plus. Comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
  • Corrugated packaging experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic shop math.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrates dependability, professionalism, teamwork, and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure line clearance procedures have been completed before beginning the next production order.
  • Report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or quality concerns to supervision.
  • Verify incoming materials and measure sheets to ensure proper size and specifications.
  • Inspect materials and report non-conforming product or conditions to the machine operator.
  • Assist with machine setup activities once primary responsibilities are completed.
  • Perform box inspections throughout production runs and report quality concerns to the operator.
  • Monitor pH and ink viscosity throughout production runs and communicate changes as required.
  • Complete accurate production and quality documentation.

Description
Position Summary

The Utility Technician position is responsible for safely and efficiently supporting production operations by setting up, operating, monitoring, and cleaning stackers, conveyors, and related equipment. This position plays a key role in maintaining product quality, supporting machine operators, and ensuring production goals are achieved while contributing positively to a team-oriented work environment.

Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Ensure line clearance procedures have been completed before beginning the next production order.
  • Report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or quality concerns to supervision.
Production Operations
  • Verify incoming materials and measure sheets to ensure proper size and specifications.
  • Inspect materials and report non-conforming product or conditions to the machine operator.

Quality Assurance

Education
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
Experience
  • Corrugated packaging experience preferred but not required.
