Job summary

HHM Facility Management, LLC is seeking a Utility Technician to perform general maintenance and repair tasks across client facilities in the United States. You will inspect equipment, troubleshoot issues, and execute repairs that do not require specialized technicians, including drywall, painting, doors, and fixtures.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous maintenance/handyman experience helpful.
• Ability to follow instructions from supervisors.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Proficient with hand tools and power tools.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment or facilities to identify needed repairs.
• Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs.
• Perform general repairs (drywall, painting, doors, fixtures).
• Operate power tools and drive/operate company vehicles as needed.
• Maintain grounds including snow removal and trimming foliage.
• Complete routine maintenance on building systems and assist with upkeep.

Position SummaryThe Utility Technician will perform general maintenance and repairs for equipment and facilities to the standards set forth in the scope of work developed by the customer.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNone.Duties/ResponsibilitiesInspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.May operate power tools, and vehicles such as leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, golf cart, utility truck or van.Performs upkeep and maintenance to the grounds including snow or refuse removal and trimming limbs or bushes.Performs routine maintenance on building systems.Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.Performs other related duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.Ability to use hand tools and power tools.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Education and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.Previous related experience in a similar industry.Valid Driver’s License.Physical RequirementsProlonged periods standing, walking, stretching, bending, climbing ladders, kneeling, pushing and pulling.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.Exposure to varying levels of noise, air quality, lighting, and exposure to the elements.Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.HHM Facility Management, LLC is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
