Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Utility Tech in San Francisco to perform routine maintenance in varied environments and carry out preventative tasks to minimize major repairs.

The role involves inspecting and repairing fleet vehicles, troubleshooting power tools, and following safety rules while wearing PPE. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with forklift certification possibly required. Shift is Monday–Friday with day/evening hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months in a company environment or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR; forklift certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean work area and comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Inspect and repair fleet vehicles and troubleshoot power tools or replace a broken component on a production machine.
• Follow posted safety standards and wear personal protective equipment when necessary.

Job Overview

The Utility Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance activities in a variety of work environments. The individual will conduct preventative maintenance to increase effectiveness and alleviate the need for major repairs.

Roles & Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

• Maintain clean work area and complies with company safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self
• Follow posted safety standards and wears personal protective equipment when necessary
• Inspect and repair fleet vehicles, troubleshoot power tools or replace a broken component on a production machine
• Inspect work process to ensure all projects turn out correctly
• Take direction and responds to supervision and performs work assignments in a team with other employees
• Understand customer service and satisfaction
• May utilize Boom Lift/Highlift to complete the following:
  • High rise Window Cleaning
  • High Rise Dusting
  • Cleaning of stainless steel and frames utilizing
  • Light Cleaning
• Other duties as assigned

Education and/ or Experience
