Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Utility Technician in Livermore, CA to perform routine maintenance and preventative tasks across varied work sites. The role focuses on maintaining clean work environments, adhering to safety standards, and ensuring equipment operates correctly.

You will inspect fleet vehicles, troubleshoot power tools, and assist with high-rise cleaning tasks as needed. A driver’s license is often required, with forklift certification a possible prerequisite.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months in a company environment or equivalent experience preferred.
• A valid driver’s license may be required based on business needs.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Completed safety and task training certifications

• Maintain a clean work area and comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self.
• Follow posted safety standards and wear PPE when necessary.
• Inspect and repair fleet vehicles, troubleshoot power tools or replace a broken component on a production machine.
• Inspect work processes to ensure projects turn out correctly.
• Take direction and perform tasks in a team setting.
• Understand customer service and satisfaction.
• May utilize Boom Lift/Highlift for high-rise cleaning and related tasks.

Job Overview The Utility Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance activities in a variety of work environments. The individual will conduct preventative maintenance to increase effectiveness and alleviate the need for major repairs.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Maintain clean work area and complies with company safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self
• Follow posted safety standards and wears personal protective equipment when necessary
• Inspect and repair fleet vehicles, troubleshoot power tools or replace a broken component on a production machine
• Inspect work process to ensure all projects turn out correctly
• Take direction and responds to supervision and performs work assignments in a team with other employees
• Understand customer service and satisfaction
• May utilize Boom Lift/Highlift to complete the following: High rise Window Cleaning High Rise Dusting Cleaning of stainless steel and frames utilizing Light Cleaning

The ability to drive to various work locations, customer sites, or company facilities may be necessary to perform the essential functions of this position. Other duties as assigned.

Qualification

Education and/ or Experience: High school diploma / GED - preferred. Six months in a company environment or equivalent experience - preferred Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A valid driver's license may be required for this position based on business needs. Employees required to drive as part of their job duties must maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and meet company driving eligibility requirements . May be required to have forklift certification. Completed all safety and task training certifications
