Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking an Utility Technician in Livermore, CA to perform routine maintenance and preventative care across diverse environments. The role emphasizes safety, equipment inspection, and timely repairs to minimize major downtime.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and ideally 6 months in a similar setting. A driver's license may be required, with forklift certification possibly needed, and a strong focus on customer service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months in a company environment or equivalent experience preferred.
• A valid driver’s license may be required; forklift certification may be required.
• Safety training certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean work area and comply with safety rules, policies and procedures.
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self.
• Follow posted safety standards and wear PPE when necessary.
• Inspect and repair fleet vehicles, troubleshoot power tools or replace a broken component on a production machine.
• Inspect work process to ensure all projects turn out correctly.
• Take direction and work in a team with other employees.
• Understand customer service and satisfaction.
• May utilize Boom Lift/Highlift for high rise window cleaning, dusting, cleaning stainless steel and frames, light cleaning.
• Drive to various work locations, customer sites, or company facilities as needed.
• Other duties as assigned

Job Overview

The Utility Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance activities in a variety of work environments. The individual will conduct preventative maintenance to increase effectiveness and alleviate the need for major repairs.

Roles & Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

• Maintain clean work area and complies with company safety rules, policies, and procedures


• Stop at risk behavior of others and self


• Follow posted safety standards and wears personal protective equipment when necessary


• Inspect and repair fleet vehicles, troubleshoot power tools or replace a broken component on a production machine


• Inspect work process to ensure all projects turn out correctly


• Take direction and responds to supervision and performs work assignments in a team with other employees


• Understand customer service and satisfaction


• May utilize Boom Lift/Highlift to complete the following:

Education and/ or Experience: High school diploma / GED - preferred. Six months in a company environment or equivalent experience - preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A valid driver’s license may be required for this position based on business needs. Employees required to drive as part of their job duties must maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and meet company driving eligibility requirements . May be required to have forklift certification. Completed all safety and task training certifications
