The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel, AK is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to perform mechanical and preventative maintenance on hospital utility systems, including electrical, HVAC, water and medical gas systems.

This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for on-the-job training in a rural Alaska hospital setting. Be part of a dedicated team delivering vital health services to the Yukon-Kuskokwim region.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade/technical school preferred.
• Basic knowledge of boilers and boiler room equipment; on-the-job training provided.
• Valid Alaska Driver's License required.
• Basic plumbing and electrical tools required.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, including computerized DDC control.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of general mechanical and preventative maintenance on hospital Utility Systems.
• Maintain electrical and emergency power, heating, ventilating and air-conditioning systems.
• Service water, sewer, steam, medical gas, medical vacuum, fuel, communications and security functions.
• Support maintenance operations in a timely and safe manner.

Position Summary:

Performs a variety of general mechanical and preventative maintenance activities for hospital Utility Systems including electrical, emergency power, heating, ventilating, air-conditioning, water, sewer, steam, medical gas (oxygen & air), medical vacuum, fuel, communications and security functions for YKDRH.

Position Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Trade/Technical School is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of boilers and related boiler room equipment Will provide on the job training. Basic knowledge of computers.
• Valid Alaska Driver's License.
• Basic plumbing and electrical tools.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, including computerized DDC control.
