This position serves as a Utility Systems Repairer/Operator in the Central Energy Plant (Building 39) and Building 100 (New Bed Tower) Utility Plant within the Facilities Management Service at the James A. Haley Hospital, Tampa, Florida.

EXPERIENCE: A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must demonstrate training or experience of sufficient scope and quality to perform the duties of this position. Evidence should be supported by detailed descriptions on your resume. Applicants will be rated according to the OPM Federal Wage System Qualification Standards.
SCREEN-OUT ELEMENT: Your qualifications will be initially evaluated against the prescribed screen out element, typically as question 1 in the online questionnaire. Those with at least the minimal acceptable qualification are considered for further rating; others are ineligible. The potential eligibles are then rated against the following Job Elements:
Experience includes paid, unpaid, volunteer work (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps), and other organizations. Volunteer work helps develop relevant skills and can be credited towards qualifications.
Note: A full year of work is considered 35-40 hours/week. Part-time experience is credited proportionally. Applicants should clearly specify duties, responsibilities, and hours worked.
Work involves exposure to high temperatures, noise, dirt, soot, chemicals, hot steam, and condensate piping. Work is mainly indoors but also outdoors, subject to weather conditions. The job entails risks of cuts, bruises, burns, etc., from tools, chemicals, steam, and equipment.
