Job summary

The Veterans Health Administration in Ohio seeks a skilled Utility Systems Repairer-Operator to oversee and maintain the Boiler-Chiller Plant at the VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System. You will operate large boilers, chillers, pumps and related systems, ensuring safe and efficient performance.

You will also complete official logs, perform preventive maintenance, read technical manuals and interpret blueprints, with rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Operating and safely maintaining boilers and chillers
• Completing and maintaining plant logs and PM work orders
• Reading and interpreting technical manuals and blueprints

Responsibilities

• Operate and safely maintain three 25,000 and two Patterson Kelley finned tubed C900 hot water units.
• Safely maintain five 1,200 ton centrifugal chillers, cooling towers and related pumps and systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on a wide range of fixed and movable mechanical equipment.
