Under minimal supervision, performs a variety of duties pertaining to consumption data collection of gas, water and electric meters to provide monthly readings to utility customers while complying with all rules set forth by Thomasville Utilities. The employee in this position reports to the Utility Services Supervisor.
Manual tasks that the employee is expected to perform will include, but is not limited to the following: lifting, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing and walking for prolonged periods.
The primary work environment of this position is outside; the candidate will be exposed to all weather conditions and will on occasion be required to perform manual tasks. Exposure to animals on their home territory is frequent.
