Job description

Utility Security Officer

Wage: $18.00-18.50 per hour. Must hold driver certification and be able to travel between Indianapolis, IN; Brownsburg, IN; Plainfield, IN; and Greenwood, IN. Must be available to work weekends.

Job Description

The Utility Security Officer monitors assigned client sites, patrolling locations, preserving order, and enforcing regulations and directives. The officer provides customer service and information to client employees and customers. No experience required; retail, food service, or hospitality background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report activities and incidents at an assigned client site.
• Patrol premises, applying vigilance to identify potential risks or incidents.
• Maintain the security and safety of client property and personnel.
• Provide customer service and information to clients’ employees and customers.
• Perform frequent sitting, standing, and walking, including climbing stairs and walking on uneven terrain.
• Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Pass a drug screen and background check.
• Meet and continue to meet state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guard.
• Driver certification required.
• Availability to work weekends.
• Familiarity with carrying out the duties in a safety‑first environment.
