Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Utility Sanitation Attendant to join the DC Utility team in Chambersburg, PA. The role emphasizes safety, dependability, and precise following of instructions to keep the facility running smoothly.

The position offers a Monday–Friday 3pm–11pm shift with a pay rate of $24.50 per hour. Duties include interior trash pickup, recycling support, HAZMAT handling, battery maintenance, and parts handling, with required operation of scissor/boom lifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to operate a scissor lift and boom lift.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and work well independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated experience with equipment safety procedures and the ability to drive powered equipment.
• Ability to understand written and oral instructions in English and follow instructions quickly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Support interior trash pickup across all departments and help maintain a clean, efficient distribution center environment.
• Back up recycling efforts, including executing the shrink wrap process, performing slip sheet pickup, and supporting recyclable pickup from break rooms.
• Collect HAZMAT items as requested, package and prepare them for waste hauler pickup, and notify the maintenance supervisor when shipment levels are reached.
• Manage used oil and oil filter disposal and provide battery maintenance support (changing, inspecting, watering, washing, and equalizing batteries).
• Provide part cage support (cycle counting critical spare parts, opening work orders, issuing/receiving parts, and reconciling consumables) and complete housekeeping/cleanup tasks, including spill response and safety equipment checks.
