Job summary

Areas USA, Inc. in Atlanta, GA is hiring a Utility for Food & Beverage Operations. This non-exempt, full-time position cleans dishes, utensils, and kitchen gear using machine and manual methods, keeps the dish area sanitary, and supports daily operations.

You will sort and rinse, transport clean ware, assist with inventory, and help with deliveries and storage. English communication and safety knowledge are essential; a high school diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• 6+ months experience in a restaurant environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proficient interpersonal relations and communication skills.
• Verbal and written communication essential; English proficiency preferred.
• Must read labels and chemicals.
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of floors, walls, counters, and equipment.
• Sort and rinse dirty dishes and utensils; load dishwasher.
• Carry clean dishes to appropriate storage areas and lines.
• Remove trash and maintain dumpster area.
• Notify Manager if dish machine temps fall below safety standards.
• Clean equipment with chemicals to meet sanitary standards.
• Load/unload supplies between storage and work areas.
• Stock, date, rotate, and check food item temperatures.
• Organize deliveries and assign storage locations.
• Maintain and clean the dish machine throughout the day.
• Perform other duties as directed.

Job Title: UtilityDepartment:Food & Beverage OperationsReports To:Concept ManagerStatus:Non-ExemptPay Rate: $17.00 per hourBroad Functions: Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc. using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe, and sanitary facility.Main Duties and Responsibilities:1. Maintain the cleanliness of floors, ceiling tiles, walls, windows, worktables, meat blocks, hoods, vents, grills, refrigerators, service counters, serving trays, and storage areas.2. Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware, and other utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine.3. Carry clean dishes to the cook’s line and other proper storage area.4. Able to pick up trash/ garbage and able to remove trash and garbage from dumpster.5. Must notify the Manager anytime dish machine or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.6. Clean equipment using specific chemicals to meet sanitary standards; may include the use of heavy equipment and steam cleaning trash receptacles.7. Load/unload supply trucks transferring between storage and work areas.8. Stock, date, rotate and check the temperature of food items.9. Organizes and places deliveries in their assigned place.10.
