Job summary

Pike Industries, Inc. seeks a Process Technician in Fairfield, Connecticut. The successful candidate will ensure maximum uptime of OES production machines by diagnosing and addressing quality issues. Responsibilities include troubleshooting malfunctions, conducting test runs, and communicating material adjustments. Qualifications

  • Prior experience with processing of molding machines necessary.
  • Lock out/tag out authorization (provided by OES).
  • Designated Paulson online training as specified by supervision.
  • Lifting requirements are generally up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Initiates the start of molding machines and ensures proper functionality.
  • Troubleshoots molding machine malfunctions or bottlenecks.
  • Records the details of machine malfunctions and adjustments.
  • Communicates necessary raw material adjustments.
  • Conducts test runs of machine adjustments.
  • Routinely changes machine inserts as needed.
  • Notifies Maintenance Technician of issues.
  • Identifies parts or machines that need replacement.
  • Assists in assembling mechanical components.
  • Performs routine analyses and calculations.
  • Assists supervisor with assigning operators.
  • Assists Material Handlers with troubleshooting.

Job Summary

The Process Technician ensures maximum uptime of OES production machines by diagnosing and addressing quality issues and variations from customer specifications due to molding machines, processes, materials, or operator interactions.

Job Responsibilities
  • Initiates the start of molding machines and ensures proper functionality to support the on-time completion of production targets
  • Troubleshoots molding machine malfunctions or bottlenecks that can be corrected by material changes or process adjustments
  • Records the details of machine malfunctions and the appropriate adjustments as required
  • Communicates and verifies necessary raw material adjustments to material handlers to improve production efficiency and accuracy
  • Conducts test runs of process or machine adjustments to ensure proper machine functionality and alignment with quality standards
  • Routinely changes machine inserts to customize product wording or labeling in accordance with customer specifications
  • Notifies a Maintenance Technician of a machine electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic issue or problems that may require a fabricated solution
  • Identifies parts or machines that need new parts or need to be replaced and places orders as necessary
  • Assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies under the guidance of a technical Manager
  • Performs routine analyses and calculations, and recommends changes in equipment, products or test methods
  • Assists the on-shift supervisor with assigning operators to machines and provides direction to Machine Operator as to machine cycle time and operating multiple machines at a time
  • Assists Material Handlers with troubleshooting material issues
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed
