Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, is seeking a Process Technician to oversee shift schedules and assist in running extrusion lines at its Atlanta-area facility. The role involves implementing production schedules, starting and stopping lines, and ensuring line maintenance.

Responsibilities include setting up embossers, testing colors, conducting trials, and training Line Operators. The position includes comprehensive benefits and an hourly pay range of $22-$28 per hour.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions.

Responsibilities

• Implement production schedule for product specifications such as dimensions, colors, and profile.
• Start up and shut down production lines.
• Change stacks & dies and clean dies.
• Pull and clean co-extruder screws; set extrusion settings and embossers.
• Ensure scheduled line maintenance is completed and adjust water bath settings.
• Conduct trials, color testing, and line operator training.
• Direct and train Line Operators and Lead Operators.

Job Summary

The process technician will oversee the shift schedule and assist in running extrusion lines.

Job Responsibilities

• Implement production schedule for product specifications such as dimensions, colors, and profile
• Responsible for starting and shutting down production lines
• Changes stacks & die's
• Clean die's
• Pull and clean co-extruder screws
• Sets and updates all extruder and co-extruder settings
• Set McGuire settings
• Setup embossers
• Assure scheduled line maintenance is completed
• Adjust water bath settings
• Conducts advanced troubleshooting
• Changes and clean vents
• Perform changeover tasks according to production schedule
• Performs board quality control checks
• Perform color testing
• Conducts trials
• Conduct Line Operator and Lead Operator skill evaluations
• Directs/Trains Line Operators, Lead Operator
• Ensures good Housekeeping
• Communicates supply needs to Material handler
• Follows all policies and procedures
• Maximizes plant efficiencies
• All other duties as assigned

• Successful completion of line Operator, Lead Operator and Process Technician tests

• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
