Job Description
Position Summary: The Utility Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the hotel's public areas, back-of-house rooms, floor corridors, and other hotel spaces. This role supports the housekeeping department by transporting supplies, removing trash, assisting with setups and breakdowns, performing room deep cleaning, and ensuring cleanliness standards are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain hotel public areas, including hallways, guest room carpets, elevators, stairwells, and back-of-house areas.
• Collect and remove trash and recyclables from hotel hallways, guest rooms, and service closets.
• Replenish supplies in housekeeping closets.
• Assist housekeeping by delivering linens, amenities, or supplies to guest floors.
• Operate floor care equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and carpet extractors.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the manager or supervisor.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the housekeeping leadership team.

Qualifications:

• Prior cleaning and floor maintenance experience preferred.

• Ability to meet performance standards for each task.
