Job summary

Wynn Resorts, Limited in Las Vegas is seeking a Set-Up Utility Porter. You will prepare, set up and tear down banquet spaces, move furniture and stage platforms, and operate floor machines to maintain immaculate event areas.

You will also shampoo carpets, polish marble, perform cleaning duties, and ensure compliance with health and fire codes. Strong English communication and prior floor-care experience are required.

Qualifications

• Candidates must communicate, read and write in English fluently.
• Experience with carpet and hard floor care and related equipment required.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain necessary work licenses/cards for the role.

Responsibilities

• Shampoo carpets in convention spaces and polish marble.
• Operate sweepers, scrubbers, buffers, and various floor machines.
• Perform high cleaning and dusting plus trash removal.
• Set up/teardown banquet areas, move furniture and stages, and lift heavy objects.
• Interact with guests and maintain cleanliness per Health Dept. standards.

Job description

As a Set-Up Utility Porter your role will include:

Job Responsibilities:

• Shampooing carpets in convention space.
• Polishing marble.
• Operating sweepers, scrubbers, buffers, walk behinds and various other floor machines.
• High cleaning and/ or dusting.
• Emptying trashcans.
• Picking up trash.
• Polishing metals.
• Any other janitorial related duties as requested.
• Responsible for executing the preparation, setup, and teardown of banquet areas/meeting spaces, moving furniture and stage platforms, lifting heavy objects such as chairs, tables, and dance floor sections and pushing/pulling carts and all other duties as determined by the Director of Catering and Management.
• The Banquet Porter interacts with guest and maintains the cleanliness of work areas and equipment in accordance with Health Department standards & fire codes from the City of Nevada.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Candidates must be able to communicate, read and write in English fluently, and comprehend and follow Banquet Event Orders and diagrams.
• Previous carpet, hard floor care and equipment knowledge is required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required, at present or in the future, for this position at all times.
