Job summary

Wynn Resorts in Las Vegas seeks a Banquet Porter responsible for the preparation, setup, and teardown of banquet areas and meeting spaces. You will move furniture and stage platforms, lift heavy objects such as chairs and dance floor sections, and push/pull carts as directed by the Director of Catering and banquets.

The role requires interaction with guests and the maintenance of clean work areas and equipment in compliance with Health Department standards and fire codes from the City of Nevada.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English, both in written and oral form.
• Previous banquet set up porter experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work with tables and chairs and communicate in a team environment.
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced and stressful environment with prolonged walking/standing.
• Must lift up to 75 lbs, push/pull up to 400 lbs, and operate heavy equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts.
• Must be willing to work rotating shifts and be on-call/standby.
• Must have a valid Clark County Health card.
• Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.

Job description

• Responsible for executing the preparation, setup, and teardown of banquet areas/meeting spaces, moving furniture and stage platforms, lifting heavy objects such as chairs, tables, and dance floor sections and pushing/pulling carts and all other duties as determined by the Director of Catering and banquets.


• The Banquet Porter interacts with guest and maintains the cleanliness of work areas and equipment in accordance with Health Department standards & fire codes from the City of Nevada.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be able to communicate in English, both in written and oral form.


• Previous experience as a banquet set up porter preferred, but not required.


• Requires the ability to work consistently with tables and chairs and communicate with other and within a team environment.


• Must have the ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced and stressful environment with prolonged walking/standing.


• Must have the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. at a time, push/pull up to 400 lbs. at a time; and handle heavy machinery such as pallet jacks, tuggers, fork lifts, etc.


• Candidate must be able to work rotating shifts and be available to be on-call /standby for shift availability.


• Requires a valid Clark County Health card.


• Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.
