Job summary

Wynn Las Vegas is seeking a Banquet Porter to manage the preparation, setup, and teardown of banquet areas. This role requires interaction with guests and maintaining cleanliness in line with Health Department standards.

The ideal candidate must communicate in English and handle varying responsibilities, including lifting heavy items and using machinery. Prior experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be able to communicate in English, both in written and oral form.
• Requires the ability to work consistently with tables and chairs and communicate with others.
• Must have the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. at a time, push/pull up to 400 lbs.
• Requires a valid Clark County Health card.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for executing the preparation, setup, and teardown of banquet areas/meeting spaces, moving furniture and stage platforms, lifting heavy objects such as chairs, tables, and dance floor sections and pushing/pulling carts and all other duties as determined by the Director of Catering and banquets.
• The Banquet Porter interacts with guest and maintains the cleanliness of work areas and equipment in accordance with Health Department standards & fire codes from the City of Nevada.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be able to communicate in English, both in written and oral form.
• Previous experience as a banquet set up porter preferred, but not required.
• Requires the ability to work consistently with tables and chairs and communicate with other and within a team environment.
• Must have the ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced and stressful environment with prolonged walking/standing.
• Must have the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. at a time, push/pull up to 400 lbs. at a time; and handle heavy machinery such as pallet jacks, tuggers, fork lifts, etc.
• Candidate must be able to work rotating shifts and be available to be on-call /standby for shift availability.
• Requires a valid Clark County Health card.
• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
