Job summary

Morgan Corp. in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Pipe Layer to support field operations on heavy civil construction projects. You will assist operators, foremen, and crew members, performing general labor, pipe installations, and site setup with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

The role requires physical stamina, outdoor work in all weather, and willingness to travel. Overtime and weekend work may be required; a teamwork-driven, safety-conscious mindset is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience on utility crew installing storm, sewer, and water lines preferred.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and travel as required.
• Strong commitment to teamwork and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor such as shoveling, grading, trenching, compacting, and site cleanup.
• Assist with installation of pipe, drainage, concrete, and other materials.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment as directed.
• Set up and maintain traffic control devices and signs as needed.
• Follow directions from Foremen and Superintendents to support daily production goals.
• Adhere to company and OSHA safety policies and procedures.
• Report potential hazards, unsafe conditions, and equipment issues promptly.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Description

The Pipe Layer performs a variety of physical and manual tasks to support field operations on heavy civil construction projects. This position assists equipment operators, foremen, and other utility crew members to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused, and willing to travel and work in all weather conditions and environments.

• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
