Job summary

Morgan Corp. is seeking a Traveling Pipe Layer to support operations in the Charlotte area. The role involves installing underground water, sewer, and drainage pipelines while following foreman directions and assisting with pipe placement.

Responsibilities include site prep, trenching, laying lines, operating tools, and safety inspections. A flexible schedule including weekends may be required to meet project needs.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years pipe laying experience preferred.
• Fusion welding HDPE pipe experience a plus.
• Ability to identify and correct unsafe conditions.
• Capable of working at a sustained pace and produce quality work.
• Must be accountable for conduct and have excellent attendance.
• Ability to have a flexible work schedule, including overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare construction site to eliminate possible hazards.
• Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth to grade specifications.
• Lay water lines, storm water lines, sanitary sewer, and other underground utilities.
• Properly operate hand and power tools, vibratory compactors, small hoist, and basic survey equipment.
• Perform safety inspections of work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Traveling Pipe Layer

Description

We are currently searching for experienced Pipe Layers. Pipe Layers will responsible for assisting in the installation of underground water, sewer, and drainage pipeline. They will also be expected to follow directions of the foreman and equipment operators and assist with the placement of pipe as well as perform other general duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare construction site to eliminate possible hazards.
• Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth to grade specifications.
• Lay water lines, storm water lines, sanitary sewer, and other underground utilities.
• Properly operate hand and power tools, vibratory compactors, small hoist, and basic survey equipment.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
