Job summary

• Scrubs and mops the cooler floors daily.
• Assists in cleaning back of house and front of house areas.
• Cleans and organizes the janitor's closet.
• Cleans employee restrooms and refills paper towels and soap daily.
• Checks incoming food quality and temperature during acceptance and checking in of goods.
• Stores all items neatly in designated places and rotates stock using FIFO.
• Notifies the manager of any changes or substitutions on an order before the driver leaves.
• Storage areas must be kept neat, clean and organized at all times.

Salary Range: $15.00 To $17.00 Hourly

Creative Dining Services at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa is looking for a part time Utility staff member . The Utility staff member works to ensure the facility is clean, sanitary, safe and suitable
for food preparation and the customer experience. Utility staff help ensure equipment, tables, chairs, floors, trash bins, loading areas, and food
storage areas are clean, in good working condition, and are regularly attended to.

Core Responsibilities:

• Ensures trash bins are clean and emptied as needed throughout the day. Picks up trash and debris around dock, employee entrance and landscaping areas
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors as needed
• Keeps the dock and receiving area clean and organized at all times
• Works in the dishroom as required, ensuring all equipment, pots/pans, smallwares and serviceware is clean and safe for use
• Scrubs and mops the cooler floors daily
• Assists in cleaning back of house (i.e. work tables, walls, etc.) and front of house (i.e. guest tables, dispensers, walls, carpets, tables)
• Cleans and organizes the janitor's closet
• Cleans employee restrooms and checks all the paper towel and soap dispensers, and refills them daily
• Incoming food quality and temperature must be checked during acceptance and checking in of all goods, especially meats, dairy, and produce items.
• Store all items neatly and in the place designated by the manager.
• Organize all products in the storerooms, walk-ins, freezers, and refrigerators.
• Rotate all items using the "First in - First out" method (FIFO).
• The attendant must be able to work with retail employees
• All frozen or refrigerated items must be put away within one hour of delivery.
• A manager must be notified of any changes or substitutions on an order before the driver leaves.
• The storage areas must be kept neat, clean and organized at all times.
