Job summary

Creative Dining Services at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa is seeking a part-time Utility staff member. The role focuses on cleaning, sanitation, and safe food preparation support to ensure a positive guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensures trash bins are clean and emptied as needed throughout the day.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors as needed.
• Keeps the dock and receiving area clean and organized at all times.
• Works in the dishroom, ensuring all equipment and serviceware are clean and safe for use.
• Scrubs and mops the cooler floors daily.
• Assists in cleaning back of house and front of house areas.
• Cleans and organizes the janitor's closet.
• Cleans employee restrooms and refills paper towels and soap daily.
• Checks incoming food quality and temperature during acceptance and checking in of goods.
• Stores all items neatly in designated places and rotates stock using FIFO.
• Notifies the manager of any changes or substitutions on an order before the driver leaves.
• Storage areas must be kept neat, clean and organized at all times.
