Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Utility Packer for a packaging line in Lebanon, PA. The role involves sorting, bagging, boxing, and packaging frozen vegetables in a contract-to-hire arrangement lasting three months. Shifts run on weekdays in a cold, wet production environment with PPE requirements.

Job Description

We are currently hiring for Utility Packers to work on a packaging line. The role involves sorting, bagging, boxing, and packaging frozen vegetables. This is a contract-to-hire position with a duration of three months.

Responsibilities

• Dump, pack, and stack frozen products.
• Pack products into specifically labeled cases at a fast pace.
• Inspect products to remove blemishes and any foreign material.
• Perform sanitation of all packing lines.
• Follow all GMPs, Safety, Operation, and Sanitation programs.
• Work in a cold and wet refrigeration environment.
• Lift up to 50 lbs if needed.

Essential Skills

• General labor experience.
• Packing and sorting skills.
• Experience with production work.
• Ability to perform quality assurance checks.
• Experience in a fast-paced production environment.
• At least 2-3 months of packing/production experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse packing is beneficial.

Work Environment

The production facility is a wet and cold environment, with temperatures ranging from 35-40 degrees in the production area. The shifts include: 1st shift from 6:45AM - 3:00PM (Monday to Friday), 2nd shift from 2:45PM - 11:00PM (Monday to Friday), and 3rd shift from 10:45PM to 7:00AM (Sunday to Thursday). Each shift includes two 20-minute breaks. Safety composite shoes and slip-resistant footwear are required, along with long pants without rips. No jewelry is allowed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $17.00/hr.
