Job summary

Quality Talent Group is helping a client in North America recruit a Utility Operator for on-site work in a fast-paced production environment. The role supports safe and efficient operation of equipment and utility systems across infrastructure, commercial, and residential markets.

The successful candidate will operate loaders and skid steers, perform routine maintenance, and follow strict safety policies while contributing to site cleanliness and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating utility systems preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and follow safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate loader, backhoe, and skid steer safely and efficiently.
• Perform groundwork and general labor tasks.
• Follow road construction best practices and maintain site awareness.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues as needed.
• Monitor utility systems and adjust for efficiency.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Assist with additional duties as required.
