Job summary

NorthStar Energy Solutions, LLC is seeking a dependable Utility Materials Technician to support fleet and field operations by receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and parts. Location: Grand Prairie, TX area with occasional overtime and weekend work as needed.

The role requires strong organizational skills, a high sense of urgency, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a warehouse or materials management role supporting utility, construction, fleet, or tooling operations.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills strongly preferred.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
• Experience operating forklifts or other material-handling equipment preferred.
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or warehouse systems preferred.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, verify, and properly store incoming shipments of materials, tools, equipment, and parts.
• Pull, stage, and distribute materials for fleet, field, and operational personnel.
• Perform local deliveries and pickups using company vehicles while adhering to all company driving policies and traffic regulations.
• Ensure materials and equipment are properly secured during transportation.
• Verify order accuracy before shipment, delivery, or issuance to field personnel.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Assist with shipping and receiving functions, including packaging, labeling, and shipment preparation.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment in accordance with company safety requirements.
• Support inventory management activities, including cycle counts, material organization, and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and yard environment.
• Accurately document material receipts, deliveries, and inventory transactions.
• Support warehouse operations through housekeeping, organization, and other assigned tasks during periods of downtime.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
