Job summary

NorthStar Energy Solutions is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Utility Materials Technician to support fleet and field operations through accurate receipt, storage, distribution, and transportation of materials, tools, equipment, and parts. The ideal candidate will be organized, have a strong sense of urgency, and work well independently or in a team.

Responsibilities include receiving and inspecting shipments, staging materials, performing local deliveries, and ensuring safety

Qualifications

• 1 year of warehouse or materials management experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Forklift experience or certification preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors/outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, verify, and store incoming shipments of materials, tools, equipment, and parts.
• Pull, stage, and distribute materials for fleet, field, and operational personnel.
• Perform local deliveries and pickups using company vehicles while following safety policies.
• Ensure materials and equipment are secured during transportation.
• Verify order accuracy before shipment, delivery, or issuance to field personnel.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Assist with shipping/receiving including packaging, labeling, and shipment prep.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment per safety requirements.
• Support inventory management activities, including cycle counts and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a clean, organized warehouse and yard environment.
• Document material receipts, deliveries, and inventory transactions.
• Support warehouse operations during downtime with housekeeping and other tasks.
