Job summary

City of Lee’s Summit seeks a Management Analyst - Water Utilities to analyze budgets, expenses, revenues, rates and services for the Water Utilities Department. The role involves developing, modifying and monitoring performance measurement tools to improve service delivery.

You will work under the Financial Services Manager Water Utilities, collaborating with staff, customers and stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and efficient operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field required.
  • At least 3 years of related experience required.
  • Valid State driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.

The Management Analyst will be responsible for developing, modifying and monitoring performance measurement tools.Pay range: $24.61 - $30.80 per hour**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:*** Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration or other closely related field required* Moderate experience with a minimum of three years’ experience in a related field required* Valid State motor vehicle operator’s license and acceptable driving record required**NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:*** Ability to support an ethical, non-discriminatory and safe work environment* Thorough knowledge of financial, budgeting and accounting procedures; Considerable knowledge of data mining, analyze, organize and identify solutions; Considerable knowledge software systems for billing and customer management* Ability to guide, direct and motivate employees; Ability to organize, supervise and delegate the activities of field and office personnel in the performance of all billing and related activities; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other departments and the public* Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing**PRINCIPAL WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:**Interacts and works with Water Utilities Advisory Board members, City employees, customers, vendors, contractors, developers, and other utilities workers, citizens and members of the general public.
