The City of Pearland, TX is seeking to hire a full-time Utility Maintenance Worker-Drainage to improve the day-to-day operations of our Engineering and Public Works - Drainage division. The Utility Maintenance Worker- Drainage earns a competitive hourly salary of $18.31 - $19.82 based on qualifications and experience. The city pays all premiums for dental, long-term disability, and life insurance, plus the majority of medical premiums for employees and dependents. The successful applicant will perform maintenance activities on sewers and water lines, including repair, line location, meter inspection, and replacement. Tasks include sewer repair, connecting lines, installing cleanouts, water tap installation, sewer line cleaning, manhole repair, and equipment operation. Assistance in large projects and serving as essential personnel for emergencies are also required.
High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of construction or plumbing experience; knowledge of operating hand and motorized equipment; valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License.
Salary: $18.31 - $19.82 per hour.
