Job summary

Fluidics Inc., a subsidiary of EMCOR Group, Inc., is seeking a Utility Maintenance Mechanic for the Stamford, CT area. The role focuses on electrical and plumbing tasks, preventive maintenance, and building upkeep in a day shift.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, 3 years of building maintenance experience, and a valid driver’s license. This position requires physical stamina and adherence to safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Three years building maintenance experience.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lift heavy objects.
• Knowledge of safe work practices and ability to wear a respirator.
• Valid driver’s license to drive assigned vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Reports to Supervisor or assigned trades worker.
• Completes service requests promptly.
• Performs electrical maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs.
• Repairs restroom fixtures and other minor plumbing duties.
• Performs minor building equipment preventive maintenance.
• Repairs sheet rock and plaster.
• Spot paints common areas and replaces ceiling tiles.
• Maintains cleanliness in all Building Operations facilities and related spaces.
• Drives vehicles up to 1-1/2-ton as needed.
• Overtime and shift work may be required.
• Safely use all related hand and power tools.

Job Title: --Utility Maintenance Mechanic

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Reports to Supervisor or assigned trades worker
• Completes service request in a timely manner
• Performs electrical maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs
• Repairs restroom fixtures and other minor plumbing duties
• Performs minor building equipment preventive maintenance
• Repairs sheet rock and spackles
• Spot paints common areas such as lobbies, freight elevator lobbies, restrooms, etc.
• Replaces ceiling tiles and other basic carpentry task
• Maintains cleanliness in and around all Building Operations Services facilities also shops, boiler room, chiller room, electrical room, mechanical rooms, etc.
• Paints equipment rooms and machinery
• Receives deliveries for projects, controls moving & delivery crew’s use of elevators
• Driving skills with up to 1-1/2-ton truck.
• Overtime and shift work maybe required
• Perform any additional duties on an as required basis where such duties are within the scope of contractual obligations.
• Safely use all types of related hand and power tools

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Three years building maintenance experience.
• Strength and dexterity to perform physically demanding duties as outlined.
• Valid driver’s license as required to drive any vehicles which may be assigned.
• Knowledge of safe work practices and procedures typical of maintenance operations. Ability to safely wear a respirator, climb ladders, enter confined spaces, lift heavy objects and perform other physically demanding tasks
