Brief Description

The Regal Rexnord Gear Group (Falk) seeks an experienced Utility Machinist at our Canal Street location.

Key Accountabilities

1. Position will require the ability to set-up and operate a variety of manual and CNC machine tools, including lathes, mills, cylindrical grinders, and gear hobbers.
2. Successful candidate must be versatile and flexible, with the ability to change job duties daily to respond to heavy workloads and cover for vacationing employees.
3. Responsibilities may include manually edge-grinding own parts to remove generated tooth burrs.

Job Requirements

1. High school diploma, HSED, or GED required.
2. Previous machinist experience required.
3. Experience with high precision measuring instruments (such as vernier, tooth caliper, and micrometers) in thousandths of an inch.
4. Strong knowledge of geometry.

Capabilities and Success Factors

1. Must be a self-starter, work well with others, and be willing to adapt as needed.
2. Preference for candidates with gear cutter and gear grinder experience.
3. Technical school training is a plus.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to read blueprints/drawings and gear cutting summaries.
