Job summary

U.S. Water Services Corporation in Lehigh Acres, FL is seeking a Utility Locator / Maintenance Technician to locate and mark underground utilities and perform maintenance on water and wastewater systems.

You will operate locating equipment, read maps, and coordinate with contractors and property owners. This full-time, hourly position offers benefits and requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; valid driver''s license.
• Ability to locate and mark utilities; read maps and GIS information.
• Experience with electronic locating tools and as-built drawings.
• Respond to 811/Call Before You Dig requests.
• Strong communication with contractors and property owners.
• Follow OSHA and safety requirements; maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Assist in locating and marking underground utilities using paint, flags, and tools.
• Read maps and GIS to compare records with field conditions.
• Respond to maintenance schedules and emergency calls.
• Maintain maintenance records and update work orders.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and minor repairs.
• Support with meter reading, cleaning, and project tasks.
