Job summary

Wire 3 is seeking a versatile Utility Locator to join our field team in the United States. The role focuses on locating and marking underground utilities before excavation, using EM locators and GPR to prevent damage and interruptions.

You’ll work with construction crews, engineers, and local authorities to ensure safety and regulatory compliance. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and experience in utility locating or excavation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification in utility locating (NULCA/APWA) preferred or willingness to obtain on hire.
• Experience in utility locating, underground construction, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Locate and mark underground utilities using advanced detection equipment prior to excavation.
• Interpret utility maps and construction plans for accurate identification of lines.
• Communicate with project stakeholders to provide updates on utility locations.
• Coordinate with Field Supervisor and Construction Manager to ensure timely locates.
• Maintain detailed records of utility locations and locate tickets for compliance.
