What you’ll do as a Locator

• Operate detection equipment to locate and mark underground utilities, seeking guidance from experienced Locators as needed
• Read utility maps to locate underground utilities accurately
• Document all locates thoroughly
• Respond promptly and courteously to excavation notices
• Communicate effectively with excavators, utility representatives, and staff
• Dig lightly with a shovel when necessary
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/after-hours responsibilities as needed
• Perform work in all weather conditions

What you’ll need

• Be 18 years or older
• Authorization to work in the U.S. for this company
• High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience
• Valid State driver's license (non-provisional) with an acceptable driving record

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations, operate vehicles, use arms above shoulder level, operate equipment, perform fine hand motions, bend, stoop, stand, walk, lift up to 55 pounds, use keyboard and mouse
• Occasionally: use portable ladders, work in confined spaces, climb stairs

Salary Range: $20.00 to $24.00/hr (based on experience)
