What you’ll do as a Locator

• Operate detection equipment to locate and mark underground utilities, seeking guidance from experienced Locators as needed
• Read utility maps to find underground utilities accurately
• Document all locates
• Respond promptly and courteously to excavation notices
• Communicate effectively with excavators, utility representatives, and company staff
• Dig lightly with a shovel when necessary
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/after-hours responsibilities as needed
• Perform work in all weather conditions

What you’ll need

• Be at least 18 years old
• Authorization to work in the United States
• High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience
• Valid State driver’s license (non-provisional) with an acceptable driving record

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations, operate vehicles, perform fine hand motions, bend, stoop, stand, walk, lift up to 55 pounds, use keyboard and mouse
• Occasionally: use portable ladders, work in confined spaces, climb stairs

Salary Range: $20.00 to $24.00/hr (based on experience)
