ELM Utility Services is seeking a Utility Locate Technician to work outdoors in the West Valley City, Utah area. You will use a company-provided vehicle to perform daily locate requests and mark underground utilities with paint/flags, ensuring safe excavation work.

This role requires independence, the ability to handle on-call rotations, and willingness to work overtime, including nights or weekends when needed. A valid driver’s license and successful drug/MVR/background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug test, MVR, and background check.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Work independently outdoors, using a company vehicle as a mobile office.
• Accurately locate and mark underground utilities using marking paint, flags, or whiskers.
• Receive and complete daily tasks via mobile work system.
• Be available for on-call rotation and overtime, including nights and weekends.
