Job summary

GridHawk is looking for a Utility Locate Technician in Ionia, MI to accurately locate and document underground utilities such as electric power lines and gas lines. The role involves working in various terrains and requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, interpret, and decipher multiple types of prints.
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs.
• Ability to walk/stand for multiple hours a day.

Responsibilities

• Locates underground facilities using a transmitter and hooking up to a buried facility.
• Performs locates and emergency/on‑call locates during all necessary hours to meet customer needs.
• Communicates with management, contractors, and utility customers.
