Job Description:

• Locate Technicians are responsible for accurately locating underground facilities including, but not limited to, telephone communication lines, electric power lines, cable television lines, gas lines, fiber optic lines, water lines, and sewer lines.
• This position ensures compliance with client and state requirements by observing, locating, marking, and documenting underground and exposed utility locations.
• Technicians will be dispatched to locate and verify utilities for customers, working independently or in a team under supervision.
• Requires focus, skill, and the use of machinery and tools.

Employees are provided with technology and work vehicles necessary for their duties, including:

• Company vehicle, laptop, and smartphone
• All personal protective equipment

Key duties include:

• Locating underground facilities using transmitters and hookups
• Working in various terrains and weather conditions
• Interpreting job tickets, blueprints, and maps
• Performing locates during regular and emergency hours as needed
• Communicating effectively with customers, co-workers, and management

Qualifications include:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Problem-solving abilities
• Ability to interpret prints and blueprints
• Vacuum truck experience (preferred)
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Excellent communication skills
• Background check and drug screening clearance
