Job summary

Eland Engineering, a GAI Consultants company, is seeking a Utility Contract Specialist to work out of our Ft. Lauderdale, FL office.

The successful candidate will have 2–4 years of related experience and a minimum requirement of a high school diploma from an accredited high school. Responsibilities include locating underground utilities, coordinating with project managers, and supporting ITS devices installation and maintenance.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of related experience
• High school diploma from an accredited high school; technical coursework preferred

Responsibilities

• Identify underground location and delineate/mark utilities per requests from project staff.
• Locate cables and utilities including fiber optic and power for ITS underground utilities.
• Meet with Utility Locates Requesting Party in the field as needed to supplement marking ITS utilities.
• Assist ITS Maintenance technician and electrician in installing, maintaining, and repairing ITS devices.
• Respond to emergency utility locate tickets as requested by Vendor Project Supervisor/Project Manager or designer.
• Document and photograph the work performed on utility locating and daily activities.
