Job summary

Conti Civil LLC in Asheboro, NC is seeking an experienced Loader Operator for local projects. You will safely operate a front-end loader to move dirt, pipes and material, perform pre-shift inspections, and coordinate with ground crew on pipe installations.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of loader experience, underground utilities exposure, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to safety, reliability, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience operating Front End Loader.
• 2 years experience with underground Water/Sewer/Storm Drain pipes.
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
• Commitment to safety on construction sites with exposure to heat, dust, fumes and noise.
• Ability to work independently and meet daily schedules.
• Reliable attendance and dependable transportation to jobsite.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to change.
• Experience with basic tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

What We Are Looking For

An experienced Loader Operator for our Asheboro, NC area projects who can Safely operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform documented pre- shift 360 walk-around inspection of the equipment.
• Start engines, move throttles, switches, and levers, and depress pedals to operate such stated equipment.
• Operates straight or an articulated rubber-tired tractor-type vehicle equipped with front-mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoop to lift and transport bulk materials to and from, trucks, storage, or processing areas.
• Work with ground personnel in the excavation and installation process of laying pipe on target and grade.
• Responsible for placement of water, Storm, and sanitary sewer pipe in the excavation.
• Be aware of proper rigging of pipe, manhole barrels, etc. and ensure safe work procedures are followed during the lowering of materials into the excavation.
• Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members.
• Load and move dirt, rocks, equipment, and material.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
• Must perform daily maintenance and housekeeping including inspection, checking fluid levels, greasing, and cleaning.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned.
• Operate other equipment as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum 2 years of experience operating Front End Loader
• Must have 2 years’ experience in underground utilities working with Water, Sewer, and Storm Drain pipes.
• Experience with basic tools and mechanically inclined.
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
• A thorough knowledge about safety precautions while working
• Work requires exposure to construction site environments having extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, smoke, hazardous substances, and loud noise levels.
• Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
• Provide personal transportation to and from the jobsite.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to change.
