Job summary

Davey Tree Surgery Co. seeks a Groundperson to join our Northwest Ohio team from Findlay to Bowling Green and surrounding areas. This on-site role supports climbing crews, handles tool transport, traffic control, and site cleanup as part of the utility line clearance operation.

We offer hourly pay $20–$22, comprehensive benefits from day one, and opportunities for advancement. CDL preferred and licenses may be required depending on job needs; travel up to 25% is possible; apply today to help

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Driver’s license required. CDL preferred and may be required, depending on job requirements.
• Certificates and Licenses if necessary.
• Pesticide license, if required by state law.
• Line clearance certification if working near utility transmission lines.
• ISA Certified Tree Worker certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provides support for the other crew members by controlling lowering ropes, limbs and persons from aloft
• Supplying tools for tree workers
• Controlling road and sidewalk traffic as needed by use of warning devices and other methods
• Cutting, chipping and loading brush and wood and proper job site cleanup

Education
