Job summary

Davey Tree Surgery Co. seeks an experienced Line Clearance Foreman/Foreperson to lead a crew servicing the Northwestern Ohio region from Findlay to Bowling Green and surrounding areas. CDL preferred and climbing experience are advantageous.

You will oversee pruning and removal for major electric utility providers, ensure safety, mentor staff, and manage equipment and site planning. Competitive hourly pay and strong benefits accompany this permanent, full-time role.

Qualifications

• Must be able to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Must be able to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Preferred: Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement or willingness to obtain
• Required: line clearance experience or other related tree work
• Preferred: pesticide licenses if state law requires
• Preferred: ISA/TCIA certifications (Arborist/Tree Worker/Safety)

Responsibilities

• Lead a 2-5 person treecrew in performing all aspects of tree pruning and removal for major electric utility providers.
• Prune treetops, trim or remove damaged trees.
• Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects.
• Apply tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines.
• Perform job-site inspections with proper planning and execution of tasks.
• Maintain, prepare and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, etc.
• Mentor and train new employees.
