Job summary

Taylor Machine Works Inc in Louisville, MS is looking for a versatile Utility Worker to operate forklifts, assist with dispatcher/driver tasks, and support receiving and crib duties in the steel shop. You will move parts, stage materials, and keep the stockroom organized in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include following safety procedures, maintaining clean work areas, and coordinating with team members to ensure uninterrupted production.

Qualifications

  • Forklift experience required.
  • Ability to coordinate with the group to maintain production.
  • Must hold governmental mandated certificates/licenses.

Job description

Primary Function: To function as a member of the Utility Group. Performs duties as a Fork Lift operator, Dispatcher Expediter/Driver, Tool Kit Dispatcher, Steel Receiving, and Welding Crib Attendant.Tools and Equipment: Various types of equipment including but not limited to small drill presses, sanders, saws, saws, ordinary hand tools, fork lift, brooms, wheel barrows, shovel, scoop, waste containers, gas powered sweeper, janitorial supplies, hot carts, overhead crane, stock room, company vehicles, etc.Materials: All parts and products, materials, supplies, fuels, oil, water, metal shavings, oil absorbent compound, rags, paper towels, grinding disks, building materials, etc.Source of Supervision: ForemanDirection Exercised: NoneWorking Procedure:Functions as a member of utility labor. Performs at skill levels including, but not limited to, material handling, stock room, crib attendants, receiving, etc. Responsible for own work within a group requiring coordination with other members of the group in order to maintain production, some designated operators may require pertinent DOT certificates. Performs other duties as assigned.
