FORKLIFT / UTILITYJob SummaryThe Forklift / Utility employee supports daily manufacturing by safely operating forklifts, moving materials, supplying production areas, and assisting with general utility duties throughout the facility. This position requires a strong focus on safety, productivity, organization, and teamwork.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSafely operate forklifts and other approved material-handling equipment.Move, stack, and stage raw materials, finished products, pallets, molds and supplies.Supply production departments with materials as needed to prevent delays or downtime.Remove finished products, scrap, empty containers, and other materials from production areas.Verify materials and products are moved to the correct locations.Perform routine forklift inspections and immediately report equipment damage or safety concerns.Maintain clean and organized work areas, aisles, and storage locations.Assist production, warehouse, shipping, and other departments with general utility tasks as assigned.Follow established traffic patterns, speed limits, pedestrian safety rules, and loading procedures.Follow all company safety policies, including PPE and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements, and established operating procedures.Perform other duties as assigned based on production and operational needs.QualificationsPrevious forklift experience preferred.Ability to safely operate a forklift; company certification will be required.Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.Strong attention to safety and surroundings.Dependable attendance and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Ability to work effectively with employees across multiple departments.Willingness to perform a variety of duties based on daily operational needs.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull throughout the shift.Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds.Ability to safely get on and off a forklift repeatedly throughout the workday.Ability to perform physical work for extended periods.Work EnvironmentThis position works in a manufacturing and warehouse environment that is not climate-controlled. Employees will be exposed to hot temperatures during the summer and cold temperatures during the winter. The position may also involve exposure to noise, dust, moving equipment, and other typical manufacturing conditions. Required PPE must be worn at all times in designated areas.ScheduleFull-time position. Shift and work hours will be based on operational needs. Overtime may be required as production demands dictate.
