Crowder Construction Co. is seeking a Utility Foreman (Underground Pipe) to lead on-site crews, ensure safe installation of underground piping, and supervise day-to-day field activities.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, planning, and coordination of labor in accordance with Crowder's safety standards. You will read plans, oversee trenching and backfill, manage productivity, and communicate with team members to keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate thorough knowledge of underground pipe installation and provide hands-on supervision.
• High school or trade school diploma preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet Crowder's standards.

Responsibilities

Primary Function of a Utility Foreman (Underground Pipe):

Able to demonstrate thorough knowledge and skill of installing underground pipe installation construction and apply hands-on supervision with effective leadership. Ensure crew operates within Crowder's safety standards always. Plan and assign work; track and account for labor hours and productivity; supervise activities of a construction crew of typically 2 or more workers.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

• Ensuring work is completed safely
  • Responsible for the safety of the crew.
  • Complete required safety documentation (i.e. PTPs).
• Planning, scheduling and coordinating the work
• Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, & Experience:
  • Able to demonstrate thorough knowledge and skill of installing underground pipe installation construction and apply hands-on supervision with effective leadership.
  • High school and/or trade school diploma preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and meet Crowder's standards for drivers.
  • Must be a good communicator, motivator, and team player.
  • Should understand all tools and equipment for underground pipe installation.
  • Able to read plans and do general layout. Should be familiar with installing different types of underground pipe and shoring systems and be able to shoot elevations.
  • Maintain a general understanding of other foreman specialties such as electrical, mechanical, labor, and concrete as related to underground pipe and equipment installation.
  • Maintain understanding of trenching, excavation, and backfill.
