Job summary

Crowder-Constructors-Inc seeks a Utility Foreman (Underground Pipe) to lead a crew in underground pipe installation, ensuring safety and adherence to Crowder’s standards. You will read plans, supervise tasks, and coordinate labor across projects in the Southeast.

The role requires high school or trade schooling, reliable teamwork and strong communication. Travel may be involved; great safety practices and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age and able to pass a drug test.
• Legally eligible to work in the US.
• Must provide own hand tools (excluding power tools).
• Reliable transportation to and from jobsite; driver’s license not required.
• May be required to travel to multi-state projects.

Primary Function of a Utility Foreman (Underground Pipe): Able to demonstrate thorough knowledge and skill of installing undergroundpipeinstallation constructionand apply hands-on supervision with effective leadership. Ensure crew operates within Crowder’s safety standards always. Plan and assign work; track and account for labor hours and productivity; supervise activities of a construction crew of typically 2 or more workers.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

• Ensuring work is completed safely
  • Responsible for the safety of the crew.
  • Complete required safety documentation (i.e. PTPs).
• Planning, scheduling and coordinating the work
• Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, & Experience:
  • Able to demonstrate thorough knowledge and skill of installing undergroundpipeinstallation constructionand apply hands-on supervision with effective leadership.
  • High school and/or trade school diploma preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and meet Crowder's standards for drivers.
  • Must be a good communicator, motivator, and team player.
  • Should understand all tools and equipment for undergroundpipe installation.
  • Able toread plans and do general layout. Should be familiar withinstalling different types of undergroundpipe and shoring systemsand be able to shoot elevations.
  • Maintain a general understanding of other foreman specialties such as electrical, mechanical, labor, and concrete as related to underground pipe and equipment installation.
  • Maintain understanding of trenching, excavation, and backfill.
