Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc. is hiring a Utility Equipment Fleet Mechanic in Cheyenne, WY. You will repair and overhaul heavy vehicles, hydraulic and electrical systems, and perform DOT inspections for transmission maintenance equipment.

Qualifications

• Ability to adapt to revised work times and long hours.
• Strong analytical, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Must have and maintain a valid Class A CDL with no air brake restrictions.
• Experience with engines, hydraulics, electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and rebuild powered and non-powered equipment.
• Perform scheduled service and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and correct problems uncovered during maintenance.
• Respond to requests to diagnose and repair malfunctions.
• Read prints and diagrams to guide repairs.
• Operate and test equipment after repairs, including bucket trucks and digger derricks.
• Complete DOT annual inspections as required.
• Use diagnostic equipment and computerized systems for maintenance.
• Ensure safety and compliance with company policies and procedures.
