The ideal candidate will estimate wet and dry utilities, coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors, and review plans, geotechnical reports, and bid documents to define scope and risk.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience estimating underground utility construction projects.
• Experience estimating both wet and dry utilities.
• Ability to read and interpret civil engineering plans and specifications.
• Experience preparing bids for residential, commercial, and public works projects.
• Strong understanding of underground utility construction methods and production rates.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs from civil drawings and specifications.
• Develop complete cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and overhead.
• Prepare competitive bids for residential developments, commercial sites, and public works infrastructure projects.
• Analyze project plans, geotechnical reports, and bid documents to determine full scope of work.
• Identify project risks, constructability concerns, and potential cost exposures during the bidding phase.
• Maintain documentation of estimate assumptions, clarifications, and exclusions.
