Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Engineer, Utility Engineering and Coordination in Denver, CO, with 3–5 years of experience to become proficient in utility conflicts, relocation design, and stakeholder coordination across complex infrastructure projects.

You will work with experienced engineers to support and progressively lead utility engineering, coordination, and documentation efforts, including base maps, design calculations, and collaboration with internal disciplines to deliver successful

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• EIT certification (or actively pursuing).
• 3–5 years of relevant utility engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of utility systems and coordination practices.
• Ability to read multi-disciplinary plans (roadway, drainage, structures, etc.).
• Proficiency in CAD tools (Civil 3D and/or MicroStation preferred).
• Strong attention to detail with organizational and documentation skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Support utility conflicts identification, analysis and resolution.
• Prepare utility base maps and composite exhibits from survey data.
• Perform engineering calculations related to depth, clearance, and offsets.
• Evaluate relocation solutions based on feasibility and cost.
• Assist in developing specifications, cost estimates, and quantities.
• Support relocation designs and profiles with utility owners.
• Assist and progressively own utility coordination across projects.
• Maintain conflict matrices, logs, and coordination records.
• Interface with utility owners and stakeholders to resolve conflicts.
• Participate in coordination meetings and prepare action items.
• Prepare utility agreements, permits, and agency submittals.
• Collaborate with clients, subconsultants, and public agencies.
